These products are made in communities historically dependent on poaching sea turtles as an income source. Your purchase of these products, made from indigenouse materials, helps the communities maintain incomes without relying on sea turtles. We are currently supporting 4 different projects:
Plastic Bag Purses from Gandoca, Costa Rica

These purses are hand crocheted in Gandoca, Costa Rica. The messenger size bags are made with around 80 individual plastic bags. The women in the village are payed for each purse that is created. The funds from the project benefit the village and their Leatherback conservation project. Who knew trash could look so beautiful!

Glass Beads from Trinidad, South America
This is our newest alternative resource project. This community is crafting handmade glass beads from recycled bottles. Each beads has a Leatherback sea turtle design. The profits go to conservation efforts for the endangered Leatherback sea turtles which nests on their beaches.
