Hi there! My name is Sam and I’m originally from Rhode Island. I graduated in May, 2016 from the State University of New York at Oneonta where I majored in biology with a concentration in ecology and field biology. I am planning to attend graduate school this fall studying conservation biology. I am specifically interested in the protection and wildlife health of endangered amphibians and reptiles. I’ve assisted in the research and conservation effort of a number of species. Some of my favorites have been the Wyoming toad and Eastern box turtle. Growing up by the beach, I have always loved the ocean. Working with marine life, especially sea turtles, has long been a dream. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, doing yoga, and baking. I am also passionate about traveling and my current goal is to make it to all 50 states. I am beyond excited to be interning with Sea Turtle, Inc. this summer!
